How often do you visit to treat the lawns?

Generally 4/5 visits through the year however more may be necessary if Aeration or Scarification is required.

What will my lawn look like after it has been Aerated and Scarified?

It will look quite worn after the machine work. Recovery will take a while which is why its carried out in the winter months so the benefits can be seen in the Summer.

Is it safe for my pets?

The treatments are safely applied to be safe for pets to continue to use the lawn. We do suggest to keep animals off for a few hours and grazing animals for a couple of weeks.

I have mushrooms growing, is there something that can be done?

Aeration improves the drainage which helps. It is now widely recognised that fungicides applied to lawns are to be avoided as they also kill the beneficial fungi that you need for healthy soil. We recommend removing by hand.

Will you still come in bad weather?

In heavy wind and rain, I is likely you will get a call to rearrange on a better day. Broadey Lawn Care is committed to only treating lawns if it is safe to do so and that the conditions are suitable for a successful application.

Do I need to be in on the day you visit?

As long as there is access, we can carry out the treatment and post the treatment details and advice including the next treatment date.

When can I cut my lawn?

It is best to leave the lawn cut at least 3 days before and 3 days after a treatment is carried out, for best results.

Is the weedkiller safe for wildlife?

The products we use are legally approved for professional use in the UK and are also typically used in public spaces such as golf courses, or places where people and wildlife visit frequently without issue. We ensure the correct product is used at the right time of year using calibrated professional equipment.

When should I start having lawn treatments?

Do you cut lawns too?

Lawn cutting is available only to lawn treatment clients but is subjective to scheduling parameters. Contact details for recommended lawn cutting services can be provided.

My lawn is yellow and very dry in the summer, is it savable?

This is very common in the Summer to West Somerset lawns and Lawn treatments can help with this. Broadey Lawn Care applies a drought safe fertiliser in height of summer. We can also apply a wetting agent and aeration that wil help improve the lawn from struggling in the Summer. The best lawns in dry, hot months are cut on a high cut and watered regularly.
